The son of legendary actor Sylvester Stallone has died.
36-year-old Sage Stallone was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment on Friday afternoon. Although no cause of death has been revealed as autopsy results are pending, police say that there was no sign of forced entry into the filmmaker’s home and no foul play appeared to be involved.
A source from the coroner’s office revealed to online Entertainment website E!News that prescription bottles were found during the investigation but it has not been confirmed whether they played a role in the man’s death. Recent reports have suggested that his body could have lain undiscovered for up to a week as Stallone lived in a house full of junk and had not been in contact with his family for around seven days. His body was only discovered when his mother Sasha Czack asked his housekeeper to check on him when he hadn’t made contact.
A friend close to the filmmaker has denied reports that his friend could have committed suicide, labeling Sage to be ‘healthy and upbeat’ just two weeks before his untimely death. His father Sylvester was said to be ‘devastated’ and ‘grief-stricken’ by his son’s death.
We send our condolences to the family as they wait an autopsy report.
