He famously raps that he “smoke(s) weed every day…” but rapper Snoop Dogg has landed himself in hot water following a drugs bust up in a Norwegian airport last June. The singer has been banned from entering the country for two years after marijuana was found in his luggage on a recent visit.
Snoop Dogg a.k.a Calvin Broadus was on his way to a music festival when sniffer dogs in Kjevic Airport in Kristiansand found eight grams of the drug in his baggage along with an illegal amount of cash – 227,000 Norwegian kroner or £24,100.
Along with the ruling, he was forced to pay 52,000 kroner or £5,500 although his legal representative in Norway, Holger Hagesæter said that the star “can live with the decision,” and has no plans to appeal the sentence.
The incident comes just eight months after the rapper was stopped on the Norwegian border near Oslo for carrying too much money than is legally permitted for one person.
